July 4th

We started the day off with a quick photo shoot in the backyard before church at Trinity with GranGran, GranDaddy and Amelia.  I needed proof that Will was with us this trip - and I can't remember the last time we had a picture of all four of us together.  We tried to get Tex in the picture, too, but he was too busy chasing squirrels.

After church, we headed down to Ginny's brother's house at Murrell's Inlet.  They host a huge get-together ever year that is so much fun.  We watched the boat parade, the kids & Will played in the water,  and had a July 4th feast.

It didn't take McIver long to jump in the creek to play with Uncle Sammy and his crew.

Hanging out with Olivia - she found the boiled peanuts (her favorite).

McIver watching the boat parade.  He loved when the boats sprayed the dock with water.

After we got home, the kids needed some R&R so Will and I headed down to the beach with Tex.  The very nice security guard snapped this picture for us.

Tex was one happy puppy in the ocean.  It didn't take him long at all to get his sea legs.

We have this exact shot with Will and Murphy from about 10 years ago.

Finally, the grand finale of the July 4th celebration in Myrtle Beach - the Dunes Club party.  We were just about to load up on the golf cart to head over to the party.

They had jumpy castles, a hula hoop contest, a batting cage and even a flame thrower.  We heard rumors that close to 1300 people had signed up to attend.  The dance floor was packed for the ChaCha Slide and Cupid Shuffle.  It was so much fun!

We lost McIver for a little while - he never knew he was lost - he was watching the flame thrower, but he stuck close for the fireworks.  They were even cooler with the 3D glasses on.
