Since McIver and Harry spent last week at golf/tennis camp, I decided to treat the girls to a little something special. I had heard about a new candy shop that opened in Five Points so we went to check it out. We were surprised to recognize the lady with the apron when we walked in - she's Olivia's PE teacher at school! The shop has only been open for a few weeks, but it sounds like business has been good so far. They had every candy you could imagine - gummy worms/sharks/fruits, gum, chocolate, jelly beans, M&Ms, candy bars, pop rocks, you name it - she had it! The girls had a great time checking out the assortment and then making their selections.
We had to cut the visit a little short, though, because I got a call from golf camp letting me know that McIver had taken a knee to the eye during a dodge ball game. Apparently, he never cried, but he asked to go home. By the time we got there, he had an ice pack on his eye and was talking the ear off of the tennis pro. We were pleasantly surprised on Friday morning when he woke up without a black eye.
