Discovery Green is a new park that opened earlier this year in downtown Houston. We went for the first time today and had a blast. The weather was perfect - felt like the beginning of fall (for Houston, at least!). The kids loved the water feature, playground, remote-controlled sailboat racing and rolling down the hills in the grassy areas.
McIver said his favorite part of the day was running in and out of this scultpure at the park entrance.
This is one of the downtown buildings with wood in the windows where they blew out during Hurricane Ike.
